Heading to Denver to see my parents for Christmas but the best thing about going to Denver: snowboarding. I'll be heading up into the Rockies for some good, old fashioned, shredding of the gnar. For those that may not understand, it basically means to snowboard on that sweet, white, cold stuff we all call snow.
Zac Clark is an insanely talented and versatile singer/songwriter/writer/friend who we booked to play our ToneDen Holiday Party here at the historic Bradbury Building in DTLA. After a few years traveling and touring with Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, he’s about to take over the world. Keep a lookout!
A friend of mine works as SpaceX as an aerospace engineer and has graciously invited me to witness the next rocket launch this month. I've never seen one in person before, so I'm super stoked to check it off my bucket list! A new adventurous, scientific experience!
This month I'm talking about Cambodia! I just spent two weeks there, and it was quite a trip- we explored temples in the jungle and stayed on some of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. I highly recommend it!
Have you checked out His Dark Materials on HBO yet? It is a great adaptation of The Golden Compass novel. If you like fantasy shows with dangerous secrets, witches and armored bears, be sure to tune in!
The best new patisserie in Los Angeles, Bon Temps is around the corner from Bestia in the Arts District. It's the sort of place you'll want to stay all day--and you can: they're open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Chef Lincoln Carson's food, pastries especially, are as stylish as they are delicious.
Rhode Island. Neither a road nor an island. What’s that all about?
This past Thanksgiving a new addition was added to the Poorman puppy show. Meet: Pip! She's a rescue from the British Virgin Islands who made her way to the states though an incredible non-profit called Aerial Global Community (https://www.aerialglobalcommunity.org/). I'm looking forward to teaching Pip how to sit, stay and send lots of emails (jk).
First winter back on the east coast in ~7 years and the snow has begun in Connecticut. It's cold here. But pretty. But also very cold. Consistently, for a long time. Please pray for me.
This month I'm extremely excited about all the snow we've gotten up in Big Bear! We've gotten some record breaking snowfall this November and conditions are looking as good as they can for some Socal Snowboarding in December!
I just recently bought my first snowboard so I'm extremely stoked to be heading up to the slopes during the holiday break.
The Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. Traveled to Chicago for the Cowboys vs Bears game with 6 of my close friends (most of them Cowboy fans). Both teams were 6-6 going into the game and the Bears left with a winning record. It was the Thursday night game so we stayed the weekend and hung out at some of my favorite spots in Chicago.
