A step-by-step guide on how to create & manage a Facebook Pixel
What is a Facebook Pixel?
βAccording to Facebook, the Facebook pixel is an analytics tool that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your advertising by understanding the actions people take on your website.
You can use the pixel to:
Make sure your ads are shown to the right people. Find new customers, or people who have visited a specific page or taken a desired action on your website.
Drive more sales. Set up automatic bidding to reach people who are more likely to take an action you care about, like making a purchase.
Measure the results of your ads. Better understand the impact of your ads by measuring what happens when people see them.

There are two ways that you can create a Facebook Pixel.
The first method to create a Facebook Pixel is by using Business Manager.
The second method to create a Facebook Pixel is by using Events Manager. This does not require a Business Manager account.

Method #1: Creating a Facebook Pixel with Business Manager
The first method to create a Facebook Pixel is by using Business Manager.
βStep 1: Visit Business Settings
Go to Business Settings in Business Manager and select the right Business Manager account.

Step 2: Select Data Sources, Followed by Pixels
Then select Data Sources, followed by Pixels.
Select Pixels under Data Sources in Business Settings.
Step 3: Create a Facebook Pixel
Then press Add and create a Facebook Pixel.

Step 4: Assign People, Roles, and Assets to your Pixel
This is the easiest step to forget. So please make sure to do it!
Assign yourself and your team members to your pixel by pressing Add People.
Add people to your pixel by pressing Add People and setting permissions.
Then assign your Facebook Pixel to your Ad Account by pressing Add Assets.
Add your Ad Account to your Pixel by pressing Add Assets.
Step 5: Locate your Facebook Pixel ID
You can find your Facebook Pixel ID next to your Pixel Name.

This will come in handy for installing your Facebook pixel on a platform like ToneDen, Eventbrite, or Shopify.
Method #2: Creating a Facebook Pixel with Events Manager
The second method to create a Facebook Pixel is by using Events Manager. This does not require a Business Manager account and is only possible if you are an Ad Account admin.
